Household Toilet Project
70% Indians don’t have access to toilets and close to 60% still defecate in the open. These problems are further amplified for women and children in the country who get exposed to infections, diarrhoea. Open defecation also poses a grave threat to the dignity of women and also exposes them to physical danger and attacks.
In line the government’s national vision to ensure each house has a toilet by 2019, we at foundation along with support from local government and partners have installed toilets in over 150 homes.
