Waste management

Garbage is no longer what we throw out of our houses. It comes back to us in the form of pollution and health hazards that we aren’t aware about. The problem of waste management is of equal concern both in rural India as it is in urban India.

To tackle this, we have undertaken waste management project in Shirwal where an innovative home based composting planter have been provided to 100 villagers. And in the urban set-up of Mumbai, waste management program is being implemented in association with Bombay Municipal Corporation. Both these projects focus on awareness generation about wet and dry waste segregation, disposing off the wet waste by composting method and setting up a system in association with Govt for disposal of dry waste.
